You can cancel any order within two weeks without stating any reasons, either by writing to us (by letter, fax or e-mail) or by returning the goods. The two-week period starts running, at the earliest, upon receipt of your order. You may return your order within 14 days of receipt. In order to comply with the statutory cooling-off period, it is sufficient to have dispatched your cancellation or the goods within the specified period. All returns and notes of cancellation should be addressed to:
EMP Mail Order UK Ltd.
Unit 8, Fairfax Road
Heathfield Industrial Estate
Newton Abbot
Devon
TQ12 6UD
This cooling-off period does not apply to audio or video recordings (e.g. CDs, LPs, DVDs, videos, audio cassettes, etc.) or software if you have already unsealed the cellophane packaging, opened the case or removed their shrink wrapping. There is also no cooling-off provision for Print Media, Contact Lenses and associated accessories can only be returned for a refund if they are in their unopened original sealed packaging.
Consequences of Cancellation:
In the event of a valid cancellation, the action made or granted by either side must be observed. If you are unable to return the goods to us, or can only return them in a deteriorated condition, you will be required to reimburse us for their value (= money). ‘Deteriorated condition’ refers, for example, to altered, laundered or worn textiles/clothes/shoes or similar. This does not apply if the deterioration of the goods is solely due to the goods having been subjected to the kind of examination which is, for example, possible in a shop. You can also avoid having to reimburse us by refusing delivery and by not undertaking any other actions which could impair their value. In the event of cancellation, please ensure that you return the goods to the address above. You will be required to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Once the goods have been returned in a re-saleable condition, we will refund you the purchase price but not the cost of postage in returning the goods. Please send your returned items to our returns address printed on this page using the most economical method ensuring that sufficient postage has been paid. We advise you to get a certificate of posting from the post office in case we never receive the items. In case of a justified complaint (faulty goods, incorrect delivery or similar) we will always bear any postage costs.
*Hint: You can also download the Returns Form from here:
You need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing the Returns Form.
Please make sure that you receive an undamaged package (if necessary open the package in the presence of the postman). Do not in any case accept a damaged delivery (e.g. an opened box or similar) since by doing this you implicitly confirm the reception of damaged items.
